The first season of Fortnite, known as Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 5, launched at the end of last year and introduced secret underground bases and a moving train. It also introduced a variety of weapons and items.

Now that Season 1 is almost over, we can expect to start hearing more about the Fortnite new season. Fortunately, the Battle Royale title always lists the end of the current season, so while we don’t know much about the upcoming season just yet, we do know when we can expect it. When is Fortnite Season 5 Season 1 ending, when does Season 5 Season 2 start, and what can we expect?

We’ll keep this page updated with the exact timings as we get closer to Season 5’s launch. For now, here is what Epic has to say about the upcoming season so far:

What is the end date of the current season of Fortnite?

When does Fortnite Season 5 End? The Fortnite Battle Pass end date and time for Season 1 is 8 March 2024 at 2:00 AM ET / 11:00 PM PT (March 7:00 AM GMT). The Battle Pass page is live in the game right now.

It’s important to note that last season’s end date and time changed a few days before the new season was supposed to launch, so the timings here are also subject to change. The best place to stay up to date on the latest updates closer to the season’s launch is to follow Fortnite Status on Twitter. We’ll make sure to update this page as well.

Release Date Of FORTNITE New season Chapter 5 Season 2

Fortnite New Season 5 Chapter 2 will begin on or around the 8th of March, 2024.  The thing to keep in mind when it comes to new seasons and chapters of Fortnite is that there will always be a downtime period following the end of the previous season.

This downtime period can vary from a few hours, as seen in the last season, to several days, as seen in previous seasons. Since Season 2 of Fortnite New season will be a straightforward seasonal update, the downtime period should be relatively predictable.

No details have been released as to the duration of this new season or what we can expect from the downtime period. All we know is that the servers will be down on the 8th of April, 2024.

What We Expect From the Next FORTNITE Season

Epic hasn’t released any details about Season 2 of Fortnite yet, but that’s likely to change in the coming days. Regardless, we can expect to see an updated version of the Season 2 map, including a new available item and a brand-new Battle Pass. As for what we can expect from the new chapter, it looks like it’ll have a bit of an Ancient Greek vibe. The long-awaited first-person mode, meanwhile, is expected to launch next season. The Fortnite new season is expected to bring these exciting updates and more.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 battle pass skins

fornite passes

With Fortnite new season Pandora’s Box now open, Epic has started to tease Season 2, and here’s the first one. Zeus is going to be both a battle pass skin as well as a boss on the Battle Royale map.

It’s also pretty safe to say that Odyssey is going to be one of them, though it might be a bit different from your regular battle pass skin. It looks like it’s going to have styles that will reflect your Season Rank when you play Ranked. We’ve been seeing victory umbrellas work for seasons now, but having a skin that motivates you to play Ranked would be much better than having an umbrella that few people will even see.

There haven’t been any other potential skins revealed yet in the Fornite new season, but I would be remiss not to mention that the Ruined Reels have Fish Thicc statues with a toga and a trident, so Fisheidon has to be a contender. And speaking of a Greek theme, there’s also the possibility of a new Midas skin.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 collabs

We still don’t know what collaboration skins will be included in the Season 2 battle pass, but with a Greek mythology theme like this, we may see several Gaming Legends skins, such as a more traditional Kratos or Kassandra skins from Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, and of course, don’t forget that the Norse-inspired Kratos of God of War’s reboot will be making his return during this season after being absent for the past three years.

As for what else we can expect from the files, we’ve also found references to a fresh wave of “jujutsu kaisen” skins, which we’ve all been waiting for, and a potential World of Warcraft collab, which is a bit of a surprise since Epic and Blizzard don’t usually collaborate.

Fortnite New season Chapter 5 Season 2 collab mini-pass

As is the case every season, there are already rumors circulating about Fortnite new season’s mini-pass events. Similar to the recent TMNT event that took place, there are rumors that this mid-season event will be for the upcoming Avatar: The Final Airbender and that you’ll be able to unlock the Aang skin with this mini pass’s premium track. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Starter Pack and Save the World Pack.

The Fortnite new season comes with a new starter pack that includes a skin, a back bling, and a pickaxe, all for just $4.49. The Save the World pack, on the other hand, comes with access to Save the World, quests for 1500 in-game currency, and cosmetics.

And we already know what those cosmetics will be. The skin in the Fortnite new season starter pack will be Clara, the ballet dancer /assassin from Jennifer Lawrence’s Red Sparrow, and the skin in the Save the World pack will be Dr. Vinderbot. V-Bucks is short for Vindertech bucks because it’s named after the robot that made it.
