Google Pixel 9 Complete review: Should you buy it?

Do you think the Google Pixel 9 is the right phone for you? Here is what you need to know about the specs, camera, battery life, and design of each smartphone.

The Google Pixel 8 range has been on the market for only some months, but yet the first rumors began to generally congregate. Thus the news about the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and the new third model being introduced alongside them is out.

Since Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro were recently announced and were officially released on October 4, 2023, these models are probably on their way and possibly close to the market. Thus, you may be certain Google is already developing them. Therefore, micro-plants for highly urbanized environments should be taken into consideration, and the discussions start now too!

In this sense, the sole purpose is to inform you about the trustworthy Google Pixel 9 leaks and rumors we have heard before. The first leaks at best will address the screen, the design of the chipset, and so forth. However, later on, we are expecting to see more about these specs as well as other features and functionalities to be revealed very soon.

Occasionally, when making specs leads to us balancing some facts and intuitions based on the Pixel 8 specs and pricing, by way of smart speculation and guesses, we’ve ended up with some more assumptions about the Pixel 9 and Pixel Pro 9, too. Afterward, a wish list of the principal improvements we hope to see has been written down, and all the extracts have been drawn

Google Pixel 9: Price

We predict there will be a series of $100 increase in prices for both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro as compared with those of Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, which indicates Pixel 9 could keep these prices for at least one more generation. However the yearly gain in the cost of living can already be observed, and worldwide inflation increases the chances of getting hyperinflation. This is not any different if we consider that $700 and $1000 price points seem to be the right guesses for the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro variants without any related evidence.

In such a case, a rise in the price of Pixel 8a undeniably adds another challenge. Let’s assume the Pixel 8a debuts with the same $850 price plan. Otherwise, it can be logical for the Pixel 9 to launch at a higher price too. Furthermore, the hardware revisions might force us to the bottom line of $800 which doesn’t seem overpriced at all.

Google Pixel 9: release date

The release date is predetermined. Google has grabbed October’s first look to showcase its new devices on Google Pixel’s dedicated event for this. If things will stay the same we also don’t think they will be different shortly. This year, you’ll be able to pre-order your Made By Google 2024 device through your local shop many days after the general announcement. Last but not least, if you always love to play with new hardware or don’t want to spend a lot on it, the Pixel 8a will probably come on the market before that is earlier in the year.

The design

  • The scents are the Pixel 9 with a familiar two-tone back plate and the Pixel 9 Pro that comes with an upgraded polished metal frame.
  • The latest Pro and the Absolute models are already available in new color options, including a sleek “Lunar Silver” of the Pro. You would like this to stand out luxuriously.
  • The Pro has camera units that add to the overall quality when there is such a fine reconstruction of the previous feature.

Performance of Google Pixel 9

  • The Tensor G4 chip is a new generation of processors that powers the Pixel 9 series and should lead to bigger advancements in comparison to the Tensor G3 chip used in the previous generation.
  • The initial impression can be depicted as lag-free multitasking, really quick app loading times, and much better gaming compared to the friendly animals, especially the deserts, arctic, and polar regions.
  • AI adjustment by Google AI probably is a factor in enhanced speed and consequently personalized user experience.

Display

  • Both the models, AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations; they have both these models.
  • Pro has 6.7 inches compared to 6.2 inches of display panel on Pixel 9 standard while staying sleek and slim.
  • The new release of both displays now has more brightness levels and HDR to see well in good outdoor light.

Camera

  • The Pixel 9 Pro takes the spotlight with a powerful triple-lens system: a hindrigger, a 120MP main camera, a 30MP telephoto lens featuring 5x optical zoom, and, last but not least, a 30MP ultrawide lens.
  • The Pixel 9 smartphone has a double-sided setup with a 50MP main camera, and a 12MP ultrawide lens, which is identical to the Pixel 8 just with enhanced aperture and auto-focus.
  • A lot of online raves about the Pros’ zooming capabilities as well as the overall picture quality of both devices. This further supports their low-light performance which along with Google’s peculiar photography style is one of the many Google attributes.
  • The ability of this pixel to compute image improvement in Magic Eraser and Night Sight parts amazes users.

Battery life

  • Both models come with larger batteries compared to their predecessors: Pixel 9 with a 5000mAh battery and Pixel 9 Pro with a 5500mAh battery.
  • Those first reviews reveal that batteries in all the devices are lasting longer than ever before with most of the customers picking up their phones only once a day to charge them.
  • The Pro topped the market with 30W wired charging speed and Qi2 wireless charging options that are versatile.

Software

  • The Pixel 9 series role is powered by the most latest Android 13 operation system with the famous Pixel UI platform from Google.
  • In part, despite being a pixel UI, it presents itself as a user-friendly interface that is both clutter-free and offers an easy and fast user experience.
  • The Assistant from Google is one more level of integration, providing all-sufficient solutions including the invention of a self-customizing “Pixie” feature for better assistance and attention to context.

Should you buy a Google Pixel 9?

Google Pixel 9 is a massive phone with top-notch performance and a Stellar camera; yet, the Pro version is more advanced. It’s extremely fast and smooth around/on the go due to the most recent chip and itself runs ad-free and free of bloatware Android 13(th) version software.

The battery keeps me going all day log in, erase, and redo on the Pro model. On the positive side, it is slightly more expensive and the novelty of the design isn’t a big difference as compared with the previous Pixel version. Only for the ones passionate about photography, the tech-minded as well as those who are much like Android, the Pixel 9 is the best for them.
